Manufacturing Services
The Client
A global 2000 consulting services firm that found itself underbudgeted and understaffed to a project that it was committed to following an acquisition.
Problem Statement
A major manufacturing company was confronted with delays to a critical project that was hampering its ability to roll out new products. In an attempt to speed up delivery of the remainder of the project, key phases had been outsourced to third party vendors. However, the problems only got worse. It reported that the project was running a year late, utilizing excessive resources and both managers and developers seemed to lack the ability to commit and deliver on tasks. A potential lawsuit was being considered.
Resolution
The establishment of key project control steps, a re-architecture of the application to a web services model and an iterative development approach drove the project to a leaner and more agile execution. Our assistance helped reduce project delays, improve quality and provide traceability throughout every aspect of the project. |
